As the nation’s largest animal protection organization, the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) works to reduce suffering and to create meaningful change for animals (both pets and wildlife) through advocacy, education, and programs. They came to us with the need for a bi-monthly publication that could be distributed to schools and home-schooled students.
For each issue, we tap into our inner child and get creative and fun, exploring different photography and illustration resources, as well as playing with fonts and color palettes that appeal to younger children. We create three different variations of the issue, each one geared toward a different reading level.
We continue to work with HSUS on a bi-monthly basis to create a publication that appeals to elementary-school aged children both visually and educationally. Additionally, we work with HSUS to develop online worksheets, and teacher and parent guides to accompany each issue.
